111a: Setting up Office: Mailing Lists

Email Lists and Google Groups

There are certain lists that officers should be on. If the office has an official Email account and this account has been subscribed to all of the appropriate lists, then this step is already taken care of.

Important Note: If an office email was being used prior to the a new officer taking over, then it is important to remove the former office holder’s email address from all officer-related lists. If you cannot do this directly yourself, contact the list moderator to rectify the issue. For cammail lists, go to the list’s website. The moderator is listed at the bottom of the page.

ST Lists:

All Storytellers are welcome to join the global Storyteller list. STs should also join their IC/OOC and ST list for each genre:

Combined the Accord Mailing Lists

Mage: The Awakening Mailing Lists

Vampire: The Masquerade Cam/Anarch Mailing Lists

Vampire: The Masquerade Sabbat Mailing Lists

Vampire: The Requiem Mailing Lists

Werewolf: The Apocalypse Mailing Lists

Werewolf: The Apocalypse Mailing Lists

There are additional lists one should be on based upon region, venue, and position.

Venue Storytellers (AVST, VST)

VSTs should belong to their local Domain lists for their venue (both OOC and IC), and also to the global Storyteller and IC lists for their venue.

Domain Storytellers (ADST, DST)

DSTs should belong to all local Domain lists (both OOC and IC), and also to all global Storyteller and IC lists. In addition, DSTs may also request to join the DST and NST Google Group, which is a group connecting DSTs to the NST office.

Regional Storytellers (ARST, RST)

RSTs should belong to all local Domain lists for their region (both IC and OOC), to their regional lists, and also to all global Storyteller and IC lists. In addition, RSTs should join the following lists:

Assistant RSTs should belong to all local Domain IC lists for their venue, to the appropriate regional venue lists, and also to appropriate global Storyteller and IC lists. Requiem ARSTs may request to join the Black Legion, which is a Requiem think tank list run by the AMST Requiem.

National Storytellers (ANST)

ANSTs should belong to all IC/OOC lists for their venue, as well as any NST office lists.

Coordinator Lists:

Unlike the storyteller’s lists, there are very few lists, besides domain, regional, and national lists that are needed for the coordinators. When in doubt, talk to the coordinator above you in the coordinator chain for a rundown of mailing lists you need for your particular job.

All coordinators should be subscribed to US Announce and us-coords. This is where information from the board and national officers is announced. The rest are broken down by region:

East Central Region

Great Lakes Region

North Central Region

North East Region

North West Region

South Central Region

South East Region

South West Region
